The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and financial compensation on programmer retention and job satisfaction of game developer programmers. This research is included in causal research which is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. This study uses a random sampling method (Simple Random Sampling) which includes probability sampling technique with a sample of 126 game programmers in Jakarta. The results showed that there was an influence between transformational leadership style on programmer job satisfaction, there was an influence between financial compensation on programmer job satisfaction, there was an influence between transformational leadership style on retention, there was an influence between financial compensation on programmer retention and there was no influence between job satisfaction on programmer retention.
