Individual Commitment Process and Framework to Competency Development

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of individual commitment for the competency development. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative type. The results of this study indicate that competency makes a positive contribution to organizational achievement. Competency is the ability to carry out work or tasks based on skills and knowledge and supported by the work attitude required by the job. The competency framework can provide a common language for development opportunities and be used for discussion and planning around strengths and opportunities for employees. Multiple measures of the same form of commitment increase the reliability of the assessment but may not increase the predictive power.
